...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL MESA AND SOUTH
CENTRAL GARFIELD COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM MDT...

At 441 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northeast of Collbran, or 33 miles southwest of Glenwood
Springs, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rifle, Silt, Collbran, and Battlement Mesa.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 80 and 100.
 Colorado 13 between mile markers 1 and 11.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
