...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN OURAY...CENTRAL
MONTROSE AND SOUTH CENTRAL MESA COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM MDT...

At 444 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15
miles northeast of Nucla, or 27 miles west of Montrose, moving east
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Nucla, Naturita, and Escalante Forks.

This includes the following highways...
 Colorado 141 between mile markers 53 and 62.
 Colorado 145 between mile markers 111 and 116.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
southwestern and west central Colorado.
