...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1915, Goodland begins a string of 3 consecutive days where snow
is recorded. 3 inches fell at Goodland on this date, with 1.5
inches at Colby. The next two days bring a trace of snowfall each
day at both locations. Unofficial reports tell of 5 inches of snow
falling in locations near Goodland. This marks the latest date that
snow has ever been recorded at Goodland.

In 1982, in Yuma county Colorado a tornado rated F2 on the Fujita
scale carved a path 4 miles long and 200 yards wide. No damage or
injuries were reported.
