This storm produced hail up to the size of softballs and measured wind speeds as high as 93 mph. Significant damage was done around Yuma Colorado and Parks Nebraska where National Weather Service personel examined the damage. Please note that this storm produced a large swath of damage in addition to these two locations. .Yuma Colorado Area... Reports of hail up to the size of softballs along with significant accumulations of hail were reported. .Parks Nebraska Area... Rating: TSTM/Wind Estimated Peak Wind: 118 mph Path Length /statute/: 6.93 miles Path Width /maximum/: 0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/20/2024 Start Time: 11:02 PM MDT Start Location: 4 WNW Parks / Dundy County / NE Start Lat/Lon: 40.0648 / -101.8074 End Date: 05/20/2024 End Time: 11:26 PM MDT End Location: 2 E Parks / Dundy County / NE End Lat/Lon: 40.0362 / -101.6821 Survey Summary: Intense area of straight line winds moved through the area shortly after 11 PM MDT. Widespread tree damage was observed with several uprooted and snapped trees observed as well as damage to outbuildings and other structures.
