Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The evening hours saw storms move through the region with the
overnight hours seeing skies clear from west to east. Temperatures
as of one in the morning ranged from 56 in Cheyenne Wells,
Colorado to 72 in Russell Springs, Kansas. Winds have generally
been from the southeast at 10 to 15 mph.

OUTLOOK... For today, another warm and breezy day is forecast as
highs warm to around 90 while winds increase to 20 to 30 mph from
the south with gusts up to 45 mph. Storms are forecast to develop
in Colorado and move north and east through the region. Storms may
be severe with wind gusts to 75 mph and large hail possible. The
overnight hours are forecast to have storms move out of the region
and winds slowly lower through the night. Lows are forecast to
range from the upper 40`s to mid 60`s. Tomorrow, the warm weather
is forecast to continue with mostly sunny skies and highs in the
upper 80`s and low 90`s. Winds will be a bit calmer around 10 to
15 mph from the south.
