...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER LAKE MICHIGAN...

The areas affected include...

Open waters of Lake Michigan from Rock Island Passage to Sturgeon
Bay...

At 808 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 17 nm west of
South Manitou Island to 20 nm east of Jacksonport to near Cana Island
Light, moving south at 20 knots.

Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
