...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN WOOD COUNTY THROUGH
130 PM CDT...

At 1238 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles south of Shortville, or 16 miles southeast of Neillsville,
moving southeast at 40 mph. Even after these thunderstorms move
through, additional thunderstorms may move back into Wood County by
mid afternoon.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Babcock, Nekoosa, Cranmoor, Sandhill Wildlife Area, and Scranton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
