...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL SWAIN AND NORTH
CENTRAL GRAHAM COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM EDT...

At 358 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles north of Robbinsville, or near Twentymile Creek in the Smoky
Mountains, moving northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fontana Village, Twentymile Creek, Fontana Lake near the dam,
Tapoco, and Deals Gap.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
