...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN FRANKLIN...
NORTHWESTERN HART...WEST CENTRAL ANDERSON AND SOUTHEASTERN OCONEE
COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 AM EDT...

At 1214 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles northwest of Hartwell, or near Lavonia, moving northeast at 20
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Reed Creek, Lavonia, Gumlog, Tugaloo State Park, Bowersville, Lake
Hartwell, and Fair Play.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
