Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 525 PM HST, emergency management reported heavy rain over Kailua Kona with water on roadways on Kuakini highway near Lako st. Rain was falling earlier at rates of up to 1 inch per hour. Showers have decreased over the area and the Waiaha stream gauge is also showing a gradual decrease of stream flow. Water should continue to recede this evening. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kailua-Kona, Holualoa, Honalo, Kahaluu-Keauhou and Kalaoa. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. && This advisory may need to be extended beyond 800 PM HST if flooding persists.
