...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM HST EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR THE ISLAND OF HAWAII IN HAWAII COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County.

* WHEN...Until 300 AM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 124 AM HST, radar indicated heavy rain continues over the
    windward and southeast slopes of the Big Island with peak
    rain rates of around one inch per hour near Honokaa and
    Laupahoehoe.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Hilo, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Kapaau, Honokaa, Volcano,
    Glenwood, Mountain View, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park,
    Hawaiian Acres, Keaau, Papaikou, Pepeekeo, Honomu,
    Orchidlands Estates, Hakalau, Ninole, Laupahoehoe, Wood
    Valley and Pahoa.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 300 AM HST if flooding
persists.
