...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL KINGS AND SOUTH CENTRAL
FRESNO COUNTIES THROUGH 715 AM PDT...

At 647 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles northeast of Avenal, or 24 miles southwest of Hanford, moving
northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Avenal, Huron, and Kettleman City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
