This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms will continue through sunrise, mainly
along east of the Kansas Turnpike. No severe weather is expected.

Hot temperatures and humid conditions will contribute to heat index
values up to 106 degrees this afternoon. Refer to the Heat Advisory
for additional details.

Additional storms are possible this evening into tonight. The
strongest storms may produce damaging winds up to 60 mph and heavy
rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Periodic thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast Saturday and
Sunday over mainly the southern half of Kansas, and again late
Tuesday through late next week. A handful of strong to severe
storms are possible throughout this time period, along with areas
of heavy rainfall.

Hot temperatures and humid conditions are forecast to return Monday
and Tuesday with heat index values up to 110 degrees.
