...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1958, a pair of strong F2 tornadoes struck South
Central Kansas.  The stronger of the two moved northeast
through an eight block area of North Wichita.  The
tornado injured six and caused around $250,000 damage.
The second twister moved northeast across the Sedgwick
Butler county line where it hit Andover.  It injured four
and destroyed a barn.
