Much of the central plains are seeing temperatures in the 80s and
90s early this evening with breezy southerly winds. Scattered
strong to severe storms have developed over the High Plains of
eastern Colorado and western Nebraska and will be moving eastward
this evening and tonight. The main hazard will be wind gusts up to
70 mph, but quarter sized hail will also be a concern tonight for
portions of eastern Colorado, western Nebraska, and western
Kansas. Storms will gradually weaken late tonight into Wednesday
morning as storms slowly move into central portions of Kansas and
Nebraska. Overnight lows tonight will be generally in the 60s
across the region.

Lingering showers and storms Wednesday morning should gradually
dissipate, then additional development of isolated strong storms
is possible Wednesday afternoon and evening across central
portions of Kansas and Nebraska. Highs Wednesday afternoon will
generally be in the upper 80s and low 90s. By Wednesday night,
storm chances will increase across the Missouri River Valley with
lows across the region ranging from the low 50s across eastern
Colorado to the low 70s across the eastern half of Kansas and
portions of western Missouri.
