A fairly potent cold front has stalled across portions of
southeast Kansas and western Missouri, and ample cloud cover have
kept temperatures to the north and west of this front in the 60s
and 70s. Meanwhile, afternoon temperatures across southeast Kansas
and southern Missouri have climbed into the 80s and low 90s.
Lingering showers with a couple embedded storms remain possible in
the Kansas City metro vicinity this afternoon and evening, but
rain chances should come to an end tonight. Lows tonight will be
in the 60s and 70s across the central plains.

For Thursday, warmer weather returns, and afternoon highs will be
in the upper 80s to low 90s across Mid-America. For Thursday
night, lows will range from the mid 60s to the mid 70s across the
region.
