National Weather Service Wichita KS
410 AM CDT Sun Sep 15 2024

Showers and storms made their way across the Dakotas and Nebraska
this morning as the Southern Plains remained dry. A handful of light
showers developed over the Flint Hills in Kansas, but the dry trend
continued for most of the Sunflower State. Overnight lows ranged
from the 60s in Nebraska to the 70s across Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Today looks to be another pleasant day across the Heartland as
afternoon highs near 90 degrees are expected from the Dakotas to the
Red River Valley. Showers and storms will be possible later this
afternoon and evening across portions of eastern Colorado and
western Nebraska. For the rest of the Central Plains, skies will be
mostly clear as light to breezy winds blow out of the southeast.

Tonight, showers and storms will make their way east out of the High
Plains and into central portions of Kansas, Nebraska, and South
Dakota. Low temperatures in the 60s are expected throughout the
region.
