Conditions are generally much quieter this morning with
temperatures in the 50s and 60s across the region. A few lingering
showers and storms remain across portions of southeast Kansas and
southern Missouri, but this activity should gradually come to an
end later this morning. Afternoon highs will generally be in the
70s and 80s across the central plains, but temperatures may sneak
into the low 90s across far southern Kansas. Strong to severe
storms are possible across portions of Nebraska and far northern
Kansas late this afternoon through the overnight hours. Lows
tonight will range from the upper 40s across northeast Colorado
and western Nebraska to the low 70s across southeast Kansas and
southern Missouri.

For Tuesday, much of the region will remain dry, but a few strong
to severe storms may develop across portions of eastern Kansas,
much of Missouri and into Iowa during the afternoon and evening
hours. With a cold front progressing through the region, a wide
range of temperatures is expected Tuesday afternoon with mid 60s
across western Nebraska and northwest Kansas to the mid 90s across
southern Kansas. Storms will progress eastward out of the region
during the nighttime hours, and lows Tuesday night will range from
the low 40s across eastern Colorado to the low 60s across
southeast Kansas and southern Missouri.
