Today was warm and mostly dry across the Sunflower State. High
temperatures were in the lower 90s in eastern Kansas with highs
around 100 in western Kansas. Skies were mostly clear with
slightly breezy winds in western Kansas with gusts up to 25 mph.

Tonight, there is a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms
in the Central Plains area with the best chances in Nebraska and
western Kansas. The main impacts of these storms would be gusty
winds up to 60-70 mph, locally heavy rainfall, and quarter size
hail. Low temperatures tonight will drop into the 60s and lower
70s.

Thursday will be a warmer day in the Central Plains as high
temperatures will be in the 90s and 100s. Skies will be mostly
clear except in Colorado and northwest Nebraska where rain chances
are higher. Southerly winds will be breezier with gusts up to 30
mph.
