...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN LABETTE AND
SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTIES THROUGH 630 AM CDT...

At 601 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Independence, moving south-southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Coffeyville, Independence, Cherryvale, Caney, Edna, Dearing, Tyro,
Liberty, Bolton, Angola, Independence Airport, Coffeyville Airport,
Elk City State Park, and Elk City Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
southeastern Kansas.
