Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
259 AM EDT Thu Jun 20 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Seasonably warm and mainly dry conditions will continue into
tonight. Onshore movement of showers and possibly a tstorm late
tonight into Fri as a result of low pressure tracking across the
Atlantic, that eventually moves onshore the GA and FL Coasts
Fri. A warming trend expected this weekend as winds become S to
SW along with summer-like chance of afternoon showers and
thunderstorms. Heat indices may reach the triple digits over the
weekend. Back to more humid conditions next week with a better
chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Wind profile analysis/fire control over flat terrain is Favorable.

Fog potential for tonight is None.
