.SYNOPSIS...
Persistent high pressure will keep dry and warm conditions across
the region through early next week. Low pressure approaching from
the east will offer the next threat for rain by the middle of
next week.

&&

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
Mid level ridge centered over the Great Lakes will provide dry
conditions and mostly sunny skies today. Have adjusted NBM dewpoints
down slightly in the dry well mixed airmass. The drier air
should also allow temperatures to warm to highs close to 10
degrees above normal. Warm temperatures generally expected to
top out in the upper 80s, with a few locations hitting 90.

&&

.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 6 PM MONDAY/...
Expansive high pressure stretching from the Great Lakes thru New
England to continue to influence our weather tonight into
Monday. In the dry airmass temperatures to drop to lows from 55
to 60. A few high level clouds look to spill in from the east
on Monday. Warm highs to top out in the mid and upper 80s.

&&

.LONG TERM /MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY/...
High pressure centered to the northeast is expected to keep dry
weather across the Ohio Valley on Monday night. Latest models,
particularly the NAM, show low pressure tracking from the Carolinas
to Virginia on Tuesday through Thursday, bring increasing moisture
and a threat for showers primarily across eastern portions of the
FA. This system will bear watching since it may take on tropical
characteristics. Dry weather is forecast to return with high
pressure on Friday and Saturday.

Temperatures at he start will be somewhat cooler than recent days
due to clouds and possible precip, with highs in the upper 70s and
low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday. The return of sunshine will allow
highs well into the 80s by Saturday.

&&
