...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN MENARD...WESTERN LOGAN...
WESTERN CHRISTIAN...SANGAMON AND SOUTHEASTERN MASON COUNTIES THROUGH
215 PM CDT...

At 144 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Mason City to Mount Clare. Movement was
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Springfield, Lincoln, Mason City, Athens, Chatham, Auburn, Sherman,
Rochester, Riverton, Pawnee, Kincaid, Williamsville, Divernon,
Edinburg, Morrisonville, Greenview, Loami, Mechanicsburg, Dawson, and
Buffalo.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 155 between mile markers 0 and 7.
 Interstate 55 between mile markers 77 and 133.
 Interstate 72 between mile markers 87 and 118.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
