Lake Michigan Michigan City IN to St. Joseph MI 5 NM offshore to
mid-line of lake....
Michigan City IN to New Buffalo MI...
New Buffalo MI to St Joseph MI...

At 1143 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 9 nm north of St. Joseph to 6 nm west of St. Joseph
Light to 14 nm north of New Buffalo, moving southeast at 25 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
New Buffalo and Michigan City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
