Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
343 PM EDT Wed Jun 19 2024

.SYNOPSIS...

Strong high pressure centered off the New England coast will
maintain strong onshore winds and Small Craft Advisory level seas
through Thursday night near shore and through Friday offshore.
Coastal troughing that is situated over our local waters will
continue to generate occasional fast moving showers and isolated
thunderstorms through Thursday evening. Meanwhile, a trough that
is generating disorganized thunderstorm activity to the east of
the Bahamas will be steered westward, with this feature
approaching our local waters after midnight on Thursday night.
Showers and thunderstorms will briefly increase in coverage as
this trough moves across our region through Friday. High pressure
will then weaken while shifting further eastward over the Atlantic
this weekend, allowing for diminishing winds and seas. Prevailing
southerly winds are expected by early next week, with scattered to
numerous thunderstorms remaining possible as another trough
settles over the southeastern states.
