...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20
NM...
Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20 NM...

At 254 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 7 nm northwest of
Amelia City, or 31 nm south of St. Simons Island, moving northeast at
25 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
High Point, Buoy F, Amelia City, Jekyll Island, Buoy Cdh, St Simons
Island Village, St. Simons Island, Saint Andrews Sound, Buoy Kby,
Dungeness, Saint Marys Entrance Buoy 16, St Simons Sound Buoy 9,
Cumberland Island, and Whittakers Snapper Hole Reef.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. If your vessel is
caught offshore, immediately secure for heavy weather. Ensure all
crew members are wearing USCG approved Type I life jackets and
nonessential crew are below decks. Deploy jack lines and harnesses if
available. Check life saving equipment, including batteries on
handheld radios, for readiness.
