753 WGUS83 KJKL 222307 FLSJKL Flood Advisory National Weather Service Jackson KY 707 PM EDT Sun Sep 22 2024 KYC051-121-230200- /O.NEW.KJKL.FA.Y.0104.240922T2307Z-240923T0200Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Clay KY-Knox KY- 707 PM EDT Sun Sep 22 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, Clay and Knox. * WHEN...Until 1000 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 707 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.4 to 0.8 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ogle, House, Park Valley, Jonsee, Cottongin, Bluehole, Woollum, Goose Rock, Haven, Botto, Lipps, Brightshade, Fount, Sprule, Plank, Ice Cliff, Tedders and Lincoln.
