Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
417 AM EDT Thu May 23 2024

.DISCUSSION...We will see slightly below temperatures today,
as widespread clouds and rain begin to move through the area
once again. In fact, we will see repeated rounds of showers
and storms across eastern Kentucky each day through the first
of next week, as a series of surface fronts and areas of low
pressure move through. Due to the expected rain, persistently
moist conditions will keep relative humidity and fuel moisture
levels well above any critical fire danger thresholds for nearly
a week. With winds also not expected to be and issue, fire danger
over the next six or seven days will be very low.
