...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LAUREL...NORTHERN
KNOX AND CLAY COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM EDT...

At 649 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
McHargue, or 9 miles southeast of London, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
London, Manchester, Grace, Fariston, Brightshade, Lake, Cane Creek,
Treadway, Salt Gum, Goose Rock, Barcreek, Jarvis, Bush, Cranes Nest,
Girdler, Jonsee, Herron, Hooker, Ice Cliff, and Byron.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 Hal Rogers Parkway between mile markers 3 and 31.
 Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile markers 32 and
38.
 U.S. Highway 25 East in Knox County between mile markers 16 and 26.
 U.S. Highway 25 East in Laurel County near mile marker 0.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
south central and southeastern Kentucky.
