Through 630 am, scattered showers will continue to move northwest
near 15 knots across the Straits of Florida, Hawk Channel, parts of
the Keys island chain, Florida Bay, and the nearshore and offshore
Gulf waters. Mariners may encounter wind gusts around 25 knots,
reduced visibilities in moderate to heavy downpours, and possibly an
occasional lightning strike. On land, some areas in the Upper and
Lower Keys will see rainfall amounts up to one quarter inch.
