Through 930 am, widely scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will
move southeastward at 5 to 10 knots, and be located broadly across
the Florida Straits and into the gulf side near S Tower and Smith
Shoal. The stronger activity will produce a rare lighting strike,
wind gusts of 20 to 25 knots, and blinding downpours. Little direct
impact to the island chain is expected in the near term.
