Through 9 AM, a line of showers and thunderstorms are moving north
west at near 20 knots through the Straits of Florida heading towards
the Middle and Lower Keys. Mariners encountering this activity can
expect occasional to frequent lightning strikes, heavy downpours
reducing visibility, and gusts of 25 to 30 knots. Island communities
of the Middle and Lower Keys can expect impacts with rainfall
amounts of around half an inch of accumulated rain within the next
hour or so.
