Through 200 pm, showers and possibly a thunderstorm or two will
continue to develop over the Lower and Middle Keys from Big Coppitt
Key through Marathon. This activity will move eastward at around 5
mph. The stronger cells will produce wind gusts near 25 mph, blinding
downpours, and possibly a few lightning strikes. In addition,
conditions are favorable for waterspout development. Portions of the
island chain from Big Pine Key to Marathon will be most likely to
receive one half to one inch of heavy rain.
