Through 400 pm, isolated showers will track slowly eastward at 5 mph, through island chain from Big Pine Key to Islamorada, as well as the surrounding nearshore waters. The stronger cells will produce wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph, reduce visibility in heavy rain, and possibly a few lightning strikes. A few island locations may receive one quarter to one half of an inch of rain. $$
