Through 100 AM, clusters of showers with embedded thunderstorms remain mostly stationary in the western Straits of Florida well south of the Tortugas Ecological Reserve South. Elsewhere, isolated showers will wax and wane in the eastern Straits of Florida and nearshore bayside waters. This activity is capable of occasional lightning strikes, wind gusts of 20 to 25 knots, and blinding downpours. $$ AJP
