Through 630 pm, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over
Florida Bay, the Upper Keys, Hawk Channel, and the Straits of Florida
off the Upper Keys continue to move to the south near 5 knots or
less. In addition, a few isolated showers remain across the Middle
and Lower Keys and the offshore Gulf waters north and east of the Dry
Tortugas. This activity will be capable of moderate to heavy
downpours reducing visbilities, wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and
potentially some lightning strikes. Island communities could see
rainfall amounts of a few to several tenths of an inch.
