This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions are expected
across
much of western and north central Nebraska Friday afternoon. The
area of greatest concern will be west of Highway 83 and north of
Highway 2. The combination of above normal temperatures, dry air, and
gusty south winds will be favorable for the spread of any fire
starts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A storm system is still on track to move into the area Saturday
through Sunday. The system has trended southward and the better
chances for seeing at least some rainfall and a thunderstorm or two
will be along and south of Highway 2.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
