This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms will gradually increase through this
afternoon, especially filling in over southwest Nebraska and
overspreading the region as they move northeast. Locally heavy
rainfall will create a marginal threat for flash flooding through
tonight and into Thursday, mainly along and south of Interstate 80
and also across the Niobrara valley from Highway 83 eastward.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

There is potential for thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall
Thursday and Friday with a marginal to slight threat for flash flooding
mainly along and north of Highway 20, particularly east of Highway
83. A few storms could also be strong to severe west of Highway 83
and along and north of Highway 2, with large hail and damaging winds
as the primary hazards.

Additional strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible Friday
afternoon and evening primarily near and north of Highway 92.

Hot temperatures will pose an increasing heat risk Sunday into next
week with readings near 100 degrees across southwest Nebraska.
