Overnight surface high pressure ridging southwest across Nebraska
created light southeast winds. Light winds and few clouds allowed
for temperatures to drop into the 50s throughout.

Today an area of low pressure extending south along the front
range from Montana to western Texas will be the focus for late
afternoon thunderstorms, some may be severe while moving across
the Nebraska Panhandle into Western Nebraska. Temperatures will be
trending upwards this weeks with daytime highs reaching into the
80s today then a few locals seeing triple digit heat on Wednesday.
