This was due to lingering cloud cover in addition to rain and
thunderstorms across the area. Though rainfall was spotty, a few
locations managed to see a half inch or more.

For today, expect rain and embedded thunderstorms to shift east of
the area shortly after midday. Northerly winds will be breezy at
times with gusts around 30 mph. Afternoon highs will range from
the middle 70s north to middle 80s south.
