...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT LINCOLN COUNTY THROUGH 300 AM
CDT...

At 213 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Hershey, or 11 miles west of North Platte, moving
northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
North Platte, Sutherland, Hershey, Brady, Maxwell, Wellfleet,
Dickens, Sutherland Reservoir State Recreation Area, Lake Maloney
State Recreation Area, North Platte Airport, Keith, Cottonwood Canyon
State Wildlife Management Area, Coker, Hansen Memorial Reserve State
Wildlife Management Area, Jeffrey Canyon State Wildlife Management
Area, O`Fallons, Birdwood, Vroman, and Somerset.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 97 between mile markers 1 and 11.
 Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 155 and 207.
 Highway 83 between mile markers 52 and 105.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in North Platte.
