...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL PERKINS AND KEITH
COUNTIES THROUGH 815 PM MDT...

At 730 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 7 miles south of Ogallala, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ogallala, Brule, Lemoyne, Keystone, Roscoe, Kingsley Dam, Wild Horse
Spring, Nevens, and Broganville.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 61 between mile markers 72 and 107.
 Highway 92 between mile markers 133 and 138.
 Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 115 and 141.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
southwestern Nebraska.
