...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CHERRY...WESTERN
BROWN AND WESTERN KEYA PAHA COUNTIES THROUGH 545 AM CDT...

At 439 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles west of Norden to 6 miles southeast of
Brownlee. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Johnstown, Norden, Wood Lake, Bobcat State Wildlife Management Area,
Antelope Peak, Moon Lake, Meadville, North River Trail, Long Lake
State Wildlife Management Area, and Highway 83 crossing the North
Loup River.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 183 between mile markers 128 and 225.
 Highway 20 between mile markers 211 and 241.
 Highway 83 between mile markers 161 and 176.
 Highway 12 between mile markers 21 and 50.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
north central Nebraska.
