PERKINS...SOUTHEASTERN KEITH...NORTHEASTERN CHASE...WESTERN LINCOLN
AND NORTHERN HAYES COUNTIES THROUGH 215 AM CDT/115 AM MDT/...

At 130 AM CDT/1230 AM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from Paxton to 9 miles south of
Elsie. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
North Platte, Sutherland, Hershey, Paxton, Wallace, Elsie, Wellfleet,
Dickens, Sarben, Sutherland Reservoir State Recreation Area, Lake
Maloney State Recreation Area, North Platte Airport, Grainton, Coker,
O`Fallons, Birdwood, and Somerset.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 97 between mile markers 1 and 13.
 Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 141 and 182.
 Highway 83 between mile markers 52 and 91.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in North Platte.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT/500 AM
MDT/ for southwestern Nebraska.
