554 FZUS54 KLCH 230904 CWFLCH Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 404 AM CDT Mon Sep 23 2024 Coastal waters from the Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 nautical miles including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest ten percent of the waves. GMZ400-232200- 404 AM CDT Mon Sep 23 2024 .SYNOPSIS... A weak pressure gradient at the surface will keep winds light with a general onshore component today through Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday as a frontal boundary pushes through the area. Offshore winds will increase in the wake of the front Wednesday. The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor an area of disturbed weather in the Caribbean. This disturbance has a 70% chance of development into a tropical cyclone in the next two days.
