...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CAMERON AND
SOUTHWESTERN JEFFERSON DAVIS PARISHES THROUGH 1100 PM CDT...

At 1029 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles southeast of Gibbstown, or 7 miles north of Grand Chenier,
moving north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, Sweet Lake, Gibbstown, and
Hacketts Corner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
