...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT
FOR WESTERN EVANGELINE AND NORTHEASTERN ALLEN PARISHES...

At 710 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Pine Prairie,
or 8 miles south of Turkey Creek, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Oakdale, Mamou, Oberlin, Turkey Creek, Pine Prairie, Allen Parish
Airport, Beaver, Reddell, Bond, and Duralde.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central and
southwestern Louisiana.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
