Coastal Waters from Boothville LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River out 20 nm... Coastal Waters from Stake Island LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River from 20 to 60 nm... Coastal waters from Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana from 20 to 60 NM... Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana out 20 NM... At 944 AM CDT, multiple buoys reported a cluster of strong thunderstorms, producing wind gusts to around 30 knots. These storms are also capable of producing weak waterspouts. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located along a line extending from 10 nm northwest of Southwest Pass Of the Mississippi River to 15 nm southeast of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, moving north at 20 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher waves and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes. Brief, weak waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on alert in case warnings are issued for waterspout development. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency.
