Chandeleur Sound... Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20 NM... Mississippi Sound... At 344 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 8 nm south of Ship Island, moving north at 15 knots. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and dangerous lightning strikes.
