with light winds and slowly warming temperatures through the end
of the week.

.SHORT TERM...Today through Sunday

High Pressure beginning to build in over the state leading to
quiet weather for the weekend. This weekend for Nevada will be
under a dry northerly flow aloft which will bring a few passing
clouds and slowly warming yet seasonable temperatures with cool
calm mornings. Temperatures through Monday morning look to be in
the mid 70s to mid 80s for highs, and overnight lows falling into
the mid 30s to mid 40s. Winds will be relatively light across most
of the area this weekend, generally out of the north at 5 MPH to
15 MPH with a few gusts up to 25 MPH.

.LONG TERM...Monday through next Saturday

Fair weather continues to start the week as an upper level ridge
strengthens over the western U.S. kicking off a warming trend.
Highs start off in the 70s on Monday before warming slightly to
the upper 70s and mid 80s by Wednesday. A slight cooling trend
through the end of the week will see highs mainly in the 70s
before dipping back into the 60s in some areas on Saturday.
Overnight lows also follow this pattern but remain in the 40s and
low 50s throughout the week, with some areas possibly in the 30s
on Saturday. Some breezy northwest winds possible at 15-20 mph in
northeastern Elko county on Monday before dying back to 10 mph for
Tuesday. Breezy winds return on Wednesday with southern winds
15-20 mph possible across much of the area before dying back down
to 10 mph or lower for the rest of the week.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...A quiet, tranquil pattern begins this afternoon as
