.SYNOPSIS...Upper level low pressure will move south and along the
west coast into central California tonight into tomorrow.
Accumulating rainfall from this second storm will be less
widespread and mainly in western and central portions of the
region. Thursday will be somewhat drier in central and east
central Nevada though chances for shower and thunderstorm activity
will remain over the northern areas of the state. Friday morning
the low passes to the south ahead of a quieter weekend ahead.

.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Thursday night. Current radar loop
is showing echoes developing across central Nevada at this time
with isolated buildups across portions of Humboldt county. Any
precipitation amounts are expected to remain light today. The
forecast area is sitting under a deformation axis at this time
with upper low pressure forecast to be off the coast of
California. Some light showers and isolated thunderstorms are
possible during the evening with overnight lows in the 40s.

The upper low is forecast to slide slowly onshore tonight and
into tomorrow with a position across central California by dawn.
Isolated to scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are
expected to develop in the latter portions of the morning. the
best chances continue across central Nevada with highs in the
highs warming into the 60s and 70s. Winds will remain light.
Precipitation chances will wane during the late afternoon and
evening hours though clouds are expected to remain. Overnight lows
will be in the 30s and 40s.

.LONG TERM...Friday through next Wednesday.

A low pressure system will slowly exit the region Friday with
lingering showers mainly in Nye County and southern Lander,
Eureka, and White Pine Counties. Highs will be in the upper 60s
and lower 70s with lows in the mid 30s and lower 40s under partly
to mostly cloudy skies. Dry weather along with breezy northwest
winds return this weekend. By early to mid next week, a ridge of
high pressure builds over the western U.S. Highs will warm into
the upper 70s and lower 80s with lows in the 40s under partly
cloudy to mostly sunny skies.

.AVIATION...VFR conditions and light winds are expected at all
terminals over the next 24 hours. A low pressure system moving
southward along the west coast will bring scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms across central and northern NV.
Thunderstorm probability will be less than 15% south of KWMC,
KBAM, and KEKO, and north of KTPH. VCSH for most of the TAF sites
will continue until this evening. Showers expected to diminish
tonight with VFR conditions and light winds persisting through
Thursday.

.FIRE WEATHER...Another fall-like storm system will move east
across southern Nevada. This will bring light rainfall
accumulations over portions of the fire district. Amounts will be
less than the last system with low chances for wetting rains. By
Friday, the system will be exiting the area with just isolated to
scattered showers possible over the east-central parts of the
forecast area. Look for mainly sunny skies for the upcoming
weekend with seasonable temperatures.
